What is Nutritional Counselling?
Nutritionists focus on nutritional counselling to build health and wellness. Our goal is to educate you on how best to nourish your body for maximum health and vitality.
What does a NNCP do?
Natural or Holistic Nutritional Consultants take the approach of looking at the whole person, not just a part or two. I take into account emotional, physical and situational aspects. My efforts are based on the fundamental notion that all the various parts of a person are connected and therefore interrelated. Because every client is considered to be unique and individual, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. The key is to uncover the root cause of an imbalance and help direct the body to heal itself. I will be able to provide you with ample options and guidance such that the path toward optimal health is not too overwhelming but can fit comfortably within the individual parameters. Education of the client is of primary importance. Efforts concentrate on preventing poor health or re-establishing good health and catching imbalances in the early stages, but diagnosis and treatment are not part of the accepted Scope of Practice. In short, this is a practical approach focusing on food choices and supplement suggestions, expressed in terms that any client, regardless of knowledge level, can easily understand.
How can a NNCP help?
I help to identify and target the root of potential health issues and help the body to rebalance and heal itself naturally. Learning how to support your digestive system and improve your lifestyle choices will have a profound and lasting effect on the quality of your life by increasing your energy level, enhancing immunity, promoting natural weight loss and reducing health complaints.
What's involved?
Nutritionists use a variety of assessment tools which may include attaining a complete medical, emotional and lifestyle evaluation as well as an in-depth dietary history to determine a course of action that best suits your individual biochemistry. Our job is to educate and advise about dietary habits, food supplementation and healthy lifestyle.
